High energy formula
Our High Energy Formula contributes to Panasonic Lithium’s long-lasting endurance in mid and high-drain applications, such as cameras, where the battery’s low internal resistance helps to reduce flash-recovery times for rapid burst shooting. High-purity MnO2 is filled at high density, extending life, while the corrosion-resistant stainless cathode core stabilizes discharge at high voltage. The lithium anode features a special aluminum additive that enhances high-power reactivity, while the Anti-Leak Seal, with durable gasket and use of gas-suppressing materials, helps protect your devices from leakage even in tough operating environments.

Safety system technology
Panasonic’s exclusive safety structure prevents short-circuits and leaks with fail-safe protections for over-current, over-voltage, and overheating, even if the battery is damaged. The system includes a thermosensitive PTC that detects temperature rises and increases resistance to prevent short-circuit, a built-in safety valve to relieve internal pressure, and durable gasket material that’s effective at preventing leaks. Panasonic Lithium batteries are UL recognized.

Reliable in a wide range of temperatures
Various design aspects combine to preserve high capacity after long-term storage while enabling safe use down to -40 °Fahrenheit. Organic materials reduce the electrolyte solidification point to less than other battery types, optimizing storage and operation in low temperatures, while high-purity MnO2 has the optimal particle-size for high-rate discharge at low temperatures. Gas-suppressing materials, meanwhile, preserve capacity after long-term storage at high temperature. Our Anti-Leak Seal and short-circuit protections enhance durability.

Ultra-low self-discharge
Our intensive research yields a more effective choice of electrolyte solvent, which forms a protective film over lithium to prevent ionization and self-discharge while in storage. In addition, calcination treatment conditions were set to prevent MnO2 from leaching into the electrolyte, slowing the rate of self-discharge. Panasonic Lithium batteries boast a self-discharge rate of less than 5% after up to 10 years* when properly stored and unused providing, power when it matters most.
