Started battery production in Osaka

Automotive lead-acid batteries released

Released National Hyper, the first full-metal-jacket dry battery in Japan

Alkaline batteries developed and released

Developed graphite-fluoride lithium primary batteries

Launched Ultra Alkaline and Panasonic Alkaline batteries
