We've improved the metal-hydride alloy lattice inside your eneloop battery so that it retains up to 70%* of its charge even after 10 years* when unused and properly stored. The design also resists voltage drop during discharge and minimizes loss of capacity. Once charged, you can trust eneloop to provide a powerful energy solution, and its long storage life is great in emergencies.

*Capacity based on testing method established by IEC 61951-2 (7.3.2) when stored at 20 °C (based on Panasonic's estimation) and compared with minimum capacity. Varies according to conditions of use and proper storage.

Consistent discharge performance

eneloop Ni-MH AA and AAA batteries maintain a consistent level of 1.2V power throughout the entire life of the charge. While alkaline chemistry batteries rated at 1.5V, the voltage rapidly drops below the NiMH rating of 1.2V and decreases the amount of power going to the device.

eneloop batteries maintain excellent discharge performance even when used in extreme temperatures. The batteries are rated for use in temperatures down to -4° Fahrenheit, which is great for outdoor activities.
